The safety of the United States in the Asia-Pacific region is based on the alleged San Francisco strategy referred to as "hubs and spokes" (sands and spokes). The strategy has a genesis inactive in the early 1950s, during the Korean War (1950-1953). In the 21st century, this architecture is created by bilateral but besides multilateral agreements between the United States and its allies (QUAD, AUKUS), in which the superpower plays the function of guaranteeing their national safety and at the same time stabilising the region.
