Opposition opinions that any arms orders are excessive, defence minister Mariusz Błaszczak described as "an alarming signal". He added that the order size was based on the commanders' assessments. He considered it appropriate to call for more procurement in the national arms industry. He repeated that the army must number at least 300,000 soldiers.
