The event will bring together business leaders, consumer organisations and representatives of discipline and public administration. The conference will be attended by Vice president Daniel Mańkowski, Deputy Minister of Digitalism Michał Grammar and MP Weronika Smarduch.

The subject of the gathering will be the protection of consumer rights under transparent regulations for business –from the financial industry, e-commerce and influencer marketing to the safety of the youngest net users. The event is organized in hybrid form. On 2 December we will meet at the Centre for Fair Creativity in Warsaw in a conventional conference formula, the second day will be devoted to applicable webinars.
The conference will open a speech by a peculiar guest, Daniel Manńkowski, vice president of the UOKiK, and 1 of the first points of the programme will be the presentation of the AQUILA Association report: "Inquiry of consumer claims in Poland and the state of enforcement in this area". This study will be an introduction to the debate: "Strengthen the system, strengthen the consumer" involving business, administration and consumer organisations, which will focus on directions for changing the way consumer rights are protected, so that both customers and businesses are trusted.
Another discussion will be devoted to the Digital Fairness Act. The Digital Justice Act is intended, among another things, to counter manipulation of sales practices (so-called dark patterns), increase transparency of advertising content and defend network users.
In a panel with the participation of the Deputy Digitization Minister, Michał Gramatyki, we will discuss how fresh regulations fit into the existing regulatory scenery (such as UCPD, DSA, Omnibus) and what they mean for platforms, content developers and digital business. There will besides be a debate on the amendment of the Consumer Credit Act, including the implementation of the CCD II Directive. In this panel, we will focus on legal and applicable aspects: do fresh regulations actually increase consumer protection? And are financial institutions prepared to implement them?
On the second day of the event, webinar “Young Online Consumer” will be held, dedicated to the threats facing children and young people on the Internet, specified as social media manipulation, content generated by artificial intelligence, the hazard of crowding or peer pressure. Experts will tell you how to effectively defend the data, privacy and emotional welfare of a young consumer and what habits should be shaped in the household and school.
