End of Russian gas imports into the EU: close, closer

On 17 December, the European Parliament formally adopted the text of a regulation to end the process of the EU's departure from imports of natural gas from Russia. It was agreed on 3 December during the 3rd circular of negotiations under the alleged trilogues (talks from the Danish Presidency of the Council of the EU, Parliament and the European Commission at the time). The finalisation of the legislative procedure by the authoritative acceptance of the paper by the Council of the EU should already be formal.
