"Yes for Life – Defending Women" conference – voice in debate on fact and manipulation
On March 24 we celebrate National Day of Life. On that day, initiatives and events are organised to form respect for human life. It is besides an chance to reflect on the thought of social solidarity.
On the occasion of the National Day of Life, the conference “Yes to Life – in the defence of Women” was held in the building of the Polish Sejm. The event was organised by the Parliamentary Life and household squad and the Coalition for Life and Family.
Pro-abortion manipulations and facts
President Wojciech Zięba, president of the Polish Association of Defenders of Human Life, presented the run “Abortion is not OK” during the conference. It is an initiative aimed at combating disinformation spread by pro-abortion environments and raising awareness of the real consequences of abortion – both medical and psychological.
One of the main topics of the speech was media manipulation, especially in the context of the tragedy of Mrs Isabella of Pszczyna. Contrary to the narratives of feminist organizations who tried to blame the Constitutional Court's judgment, the prosecution and the territory Medical Court confirmed that the death of a female was the consequence of a medical error, not an alleged restrictive law.
"It's a tragic communicative erstwhile a 30-year-old female reported to a region infirmary in Pszczyna. While pregnant, doctors missed the symptoms of developing sepsis. This female died, her baby died. A large tragedy left her husband, left her a fewer years old daughter. This tragedy was utilized in a cynical way," said the President, stressing that this case had nothing to do with restrictive abortion rules.
Doctors were suspended in law of profession and the infirmary was punished. This proves how lies can affect social sentiments and lead to aggression towards the Church or pro-life movements.
Abortion destroys women – their body and their psyche
During the speech, president Wojciech Zięba presented a shocking evidence of a female who had an abortion 30 years ago. Years later, she spoke of large suffering, loss, and consequences that affected her household and relations with loved ones. This denies the slogan that abortion is simply a neutral or "sustaining" experience.
"A female is an abortion victim. Abortion hurt me alone. I made that decision, you can say in freedom, but that freedom was a terrible consequence for me for life. Abortion is suffering, it's hurt, it's taking dignity. It is simply a wound that opens again in all the most hard moments," said the female in the testimony.
Why does the fact about abortion not scope people?
One of the biggest problems in public debate is the imbalance in access to information. In the context of the tragedy in Pszczyna, lies of pro-abortion movements were publicized by the largest media, which blamed the applicable law, while the fact about the actual causes of this tragedy was deliberately overlooked. “All these lies were heard by all of Poland. They were all over the media. And how many people later heard the truth? Almost no one..." said the president.
