The letter to the United States Capitol lists more than 300 people with crucial public functions whose names appear in papers concerning Jeffrey Epstein. These include erstwhile state leaders, top officials, influential entrepreneurs and well-known characters from the amusement world. Epstein, convicted of sexual abuse of minors, created an global network of trafficking in young victims.
According to information provided by United Press International, lawyer General Pam Bondi and her deputy informed the Presidents of the United States home of Representatives and the United States legislature of the completion of the analysis of the materials and of their release. The papers provided shall include communications, investigative material and a summary of the officials and public persons listed in the files collected.
These included Bill Gates, Elon Musk, Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and Prince Andrew. The list besides includes Beyoncé, Bill Cosby, Fidel Castro, Bruce Springsteen, Alyssa Milano, Diana Ross and Ben Shapiro, as well as many politicians and entrepreneurs along with their spouses.

In December, the United States legislature passed the alleged Jeffrey Epstein Act on Transparency. The rules required the United States Department of Justice to print all classified materials in the form of a database allowing for their easy search and download. Although the deadline was 19 December, the papers were not made available until January, in the form of a single published harvest.
