Krzysztof Brejza of the European Coalition revealed on Tuesday that commentators appearing on TVP were rewarded according to the established system. It turns out that until 20 December 2023 there was a compensation strategy in the station for commentators who gave speeches in news and publicist broadcasts, both in the studio and outside. According to this system, the remuneration for commentators was at least PLN 500.

Roman Giertych commented on the situation ironically, suggesting that commentators received "500 plus" for each conviction as "independent experts". The politician noted that "this is simply a weapon of independence", indicating a correlation between the financing of commentators and their independency in expressing their opinion.
