Military Counterintelligence Service and interior safety Agency stopped in Katowice 2 alleged "war refugees" from Ukraine, who conducted diversionary activities in Poland.
More Ukrainians planned bombings in Poland. About the case reported spokesperson of the Ministry of the Interior and Administration, Jacek Dobrzyński. He wrote on page X that a man and a female aged 32 and 34 were detained, who "lead activities for abroad intelligence".
"They have implemented intelligence orders consisting, among another things, of recognizing the military possible of the Polish Republic and installing devices for the secretive monitoring of critical infrastructure. The information collected by them afraid soldiers of the Polish Armed Forces and critical infrastructure located in Poland, including transport infrastructure for logistical and military support for the fighting Ukraine" – wrote the spokesman.
By court order, the suspects will be in custody for the next 3 months. According to Dobrzyński, the investigation concerns the suspicion of committing a crime with Article 130(3). They are supervised by the Department for Military Affairs of the territory Prosecutor's Office in Lublin.

Article 130(3) says: Those who study their willingness to act for abroad intelligence against the Republic of Poland or in order to give abroad intelligence messages that may harm the Republic of Poland, collect or store them or enter the IT strategy in order to get them, shall be punished with imprisonment from 6 months to 8 years.
Dobrzyński besides attended a press conference on this subject. During it he said that detainees had been working for abroad intelligence since at least 2023. He pointed out the stereotypes around those active in espionage and pointed out that “These are average people who don’t show up on the street”. – It is crucial for our society to pay attention to this too, due to the fact that the safety of Poland, Europe and the European Union is truly our common cause He explained.
– If you can see individual taking picturescritical, transport or military infrastructure – call, inform the service first. I'm talking about 911. The police will come and thoroughly check everything. – the spokesperson called.
OUR COMMENTS: Given that this is 1 of the tens of cases of Ukrainian diversion in Poland, we support the Ombudsman's appeal – we must be very careful and distrustful in contact with all Ukrainians, as we never know if we are dealing with a baner or Putinian diversion who wants to extract delicate data from us.
