Another state demands reparation from the occupiers

The Algerian Parliament unanimously adopted a bill in which it recognized the colonial governments of France from 1830 to 1962 as a crime and demanded authoritative apology and compensation for mass crimes, deportations and repression against the Algerian population. This decision sparked a sharp reaction from Paris, which described it as “an openly hostile initiative”.
