The Blind-PGM Group plans to launch a full-scale 155 mm ammunition production in October 2026. The latest investment in Niewiadów is besides expected to make a modern 40 mm ammunition factory. “This is another step in the implementation of our concept of integrated, strong and private arms manufacture holding in Poland,” says Radomir Wozniak, Vice president of the Management Board of the Niewiadów-PGM Group.
The Group of the Blinds-PGM, manufacturer and supplier of products for the military and civilian sectors (ammunition, unmanned aircraft, anti-personnel mine mimicators), signed with Proguns Group and Forum 119 FIZ an agreement to launch a modern medium-caliber ammunition mill (40 mm) for military purposes in Niewidow. Under this agreement (therm sheet) investment of PLN 67.4 million in the majority (60 million PLN) will cover Forum 119, i.e. the investment fund closed by the London Fider Group, with which the Group PGM-Niwiads is already implementing the mill construction project 155 mm ammunition evacuation with 3 production lines in Niewiadów.
The paper does not specify erstwhile 40 mm ammunition production will commence. On the another hand, it is known that the modern mill will be based on technology provided by the Singaporen company ST Engineering Advanced Material Engineering. As a consequence of the signed agreement, the transfer of technology and the launch of production in a subsidiary (Ammunition Plant rocket SA), which will be the majority shareholder in the future of the Niewiadów-PGM Group. According to the European Defence Agency and the NATO Industrial Advisory Group (2024) report, the European ammunition marketplace exceeds EUR 2 billion per year and the request for NATO troops and industrial partners in the Central and east Europe region is constantly increasing.
40 mm ammunition are cartridges utilized primarily in grenade launchers and automatic grenade launchers. It is simply a household of loads of different uses and parameters. In the armed forces, specified ammunition is used, among another things, to destruct enemy aggregates in support of infantry, demolition of light shields, smoke, field lighting, action against unarmed vehicles, etc. Police besides usage 40 mm ammunition (e.g. rubber bullets, gas grenades).
– I can confirm with full assurance that 40 mm ammunition is an highly effective means of firing utilized in hand grenade launchers and automatic grenade launchers, which are the basic unit of fire, e.g. on armored transporters," says Captain Marcin Krajewski, president of the Board of Proguns Group, citing his many years of experience in JW GROM combat teams. His company operates, among others, a network of professional arms, ammunition and military accessories, shooting, tactical training, etc.
– due to the fact that there are many types of ammunition, the anticipation of utilizing it for training soldiers and on the modern battlefield is wide – adds Krajewski, who points out that the planned investment fits into the priorities concerning safety and technological independency of Poland.

We are convinced that the investment will contribute to strengthening national capabilities in the field of ammunition production and improvement of engineering and technological skills in the Polish defence industry," says Radomir Wozniak, Vice president of the Niewiadów-PGM Group.
