On 17 February 2026, another, 4th edition of the "Health Mission" was held – an exceptional task aimed at veterans of activities outside the state. The task is implemented jointly with the Military Medical Institute (WIM) in Warsaw, and its aim is to supply comprehensive women-veterans healthcare through specialised diagnostic examinations.
The organizer of the “Health Mission” task is the Veteran Centre for Activities outside the State Borders, which in cooperation with the Veteran Treatment Centre - WIM in Warsaw is consistently developing a wellness prevention program dedicated to veterans.
Dr. Jarosław Świstak, Head of the Veteran WIM Treatment Centre, emphasises
This task is of large importance to us. At the Veteran Treatment Centre, we powerfully focus on prevention – especially erstwhile it comes to the wellness of veterans. We are pleased that so many women have already benefited from this investigation and taken care of their health. Thanks to this program, we truly support veterans.
As part of the 4th edition, participants were covered by comprehensive diagnostic examinations, and besides took part in a lecture entitled “Leather Alone and the Prevention of Breast and Cervical Cancer”, which was conducted by Dr. Justyna Pyrko – associated with the Clinic of General Surgery, Oncological Surgery, Metabolical Surgery and WIM Toracosurgery.
Yesterday's gathering was another mission in which wellness was most important.
"Health Mission" is an example of effective cooperation between the Military Medical Institute and the Veterinary Centre, whose common aim is to supply real, systemic wellness support to veterans and veterans – both in the medical and educational dimensions.
wellness care is an act of force - quiet, but decisive. This is where a man chooses responsibility. It's a conscious decision to take care of yourself today, to have the strength for tomorrow. The interest in the task is large, veterans are eager to participate, which makes us definitely want to proceed and make it. - added Ms Sylwia Uran, coordinator of the “Health Mission” task for the Veteran Centre.
The main nonsubjective of the wellness Mission programme is to supply comprehensive healthcare through specialised diagnostic examinations. Women have the chance to execute breast ultrasound, mammography (MMG) and gynaecological studies and cytology. This allows early detection of irregularities and effective prevention.
Subsequent editions are planned in the coming months. Veterans are encouraged to follow the messages of the Veteran Centre on social media and to study their willingness to participate.
