Women in the state safety strategy – competence and leadership. The second edition of the nationwide conference on 24 October in Bydgoszcz on 24 October 2025 will be held at the Bydgoszcz Fair and Exhibition Centre in Bydgoszcz. Power and Honor. The event will bring together leaders, experts and representatives of public administration, science, defence industry, military and uniformed services to discuss how women co-create Poland's safety – not only in the strength structures, but besides in the technological, economical and business spaces and institutions.
The aim of the conference is to item the increasing function of women in the state safety system, which present includes not only armed forces, but besides the arms industry, the energy, space and discipline sectors. Agnieszka Petelicka, CEO of the GROM Foundation, emphasizes. Strength and Honor – safety has many faces, increasingly feminine. Women have been working together for years to make a state safety strategy from women commanders to analysts and engineers designing state-of-the-art defence technologies. This conference is simply a place of appreciation and inspiration. due to the fact that without women there is no modern, strong and a safe country.
The conference gained strong support from the highest representatives of state administration and uniformed services. The beginning part will include Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defence, Marcin Kierwiński, Minister of Interior and Administration, Brig. Gen. Krzysztof Stańczyk, Commander of the Territorial Defence Army, Rafał Bruski, president of the City of Bydgoszcz, and Dr. Agnieszka Turuchek, associate of the Polish Parliament. Speakers will besides include Dr Agata Malasińska-Nagórny, Head of the Police Academy in Szczytno, who will give a peculiar speech on the function of women in public safety structures. The conference programme includes 4 thematic panels, which have 1 objective: to item the impact of women and their function as leaders in different safety areas, starting from command, through the creation and management of technological innovation, to strategical leadership.
In Panel I "Women in Uniform – Leader of State Security", moderated by Major Dr. Anna Grabowska-Siwiec - erstwhile Army counterintelligence officer ABW will be attended by Colonel Dr. Katarzyna Nałowska (Veteran Centre), Colonel Nina Kaczmarek (Police Service Council), Colonel Magdalena Kozak (Military Military Institute of Aviation Medicine), Lieutenant Ewelina Mrowicka (8 Kujawsko Pomeranian Territorial Defence Brigade) and Commander Aldon Grabowska (Inspectorate of Armed Forces Support). Panel II "Women in the Defence manufacture – a motor of innovation and security", led by Sylwa Kuligowska spokesperson Cenzin (PGZ Group).
Armoured, including the companies of the PGZ Group: Magdalena Suplicka (WZL no. 2), Sylwia Bystrz (Desamet), Małgorzata Miskiewicz (Nitro-Chem) and Małgorzata Kobylarczyk (MBDA Polska Group), Panel III "The experience and challenges of women in various areas of the safety system", moderated by Major Dr. Anna Grabowska-Siwiec, will present the position of experts from various safety sectors: Dr. Kornela Oblińska (Orlen S.A.), Dr. Marty Wachowicz (Polish Space Agency), Brig. Dr. Barbara Szykuły-Piec (Polska Akademia Poża) and Captain SG Joanna Gutowska. On the another hand, Panel IV "The leadership of women and self-improvement – from courage to influence", moderated by Dr. Kornela Oblińska, will focus on the improvement of leadership and the building of women's authority in decision-making structures. The panel will be attended by: associate of Dr Agnieszka Wodek, Renata Knight (NCBR), Edyta Wiwatowska (Bydgoski Park Przemysło-Technology) and Dorota Zawacka-Wakarecy (Foundation of General Elżbieta Zawacka).
The subject of the conference goes far beyond classical safety understanding. Women are increasingly liable for command, investigation and industrial projects of strategical importance, including in the space, energy and defence sectors. The event will be accompanied by exhibitions of “100 years of women in the Police 1925–2025” and “General Elżbieta Zawacka – Cichociemna”, reminding of the long tradition of women in the service of the Homeland, while the event will close the screening of the movie “Women selected for the 100th anniversary of the Police”, dedicated to women who for decades shaped the ethos of service and professionalism in Polish uniform formations. The second edition of the conference “Women in the State safety System” is simply a continuation of the event held on 26 May 2025 in Tarnów. This year's edition aims to rise public awareness of the function of women in the national safety system, in uniform services, defence manufacture and public life. The event supports building women's position as leaders and experts in sectors traditionally dominated by men, creates a space for dialog and exchange of experience between representatives of uniform services, academic and expert communities and promotes the thought of cooperation and common support.
The conference is organized by the GROM Foundation. Strength and Honor – a non-governmental organization working with the Ministry of National Defence for years in the field of promoting the tradition and past of Polish weapons, supporting veterans' communities and youth defence education. The Foundation organises many patriotic, pro-defensive and educational initiatives, as well as acts to strengthen the function of women in the safety strategy and leadership structures.
The honorary patronage over the event was taken by: Minister of National Defence, Minister of Interior and Administration, president of the City of Bydgoszcz and Starost Bydgoszcz.
