Andrzej Duda declared in November that "the president of the country is not from giving support to the candidate". On Sunday 27 April, however, he appeared at a rally of the PiS candidate Karol Nawrocki in Łódź. “I, Andrzej Duda, will vote for Karol Nawrocki in the upcoming presidential election, due to the fact that I believe he is the man who will prosecute and do everything to make Poland an honest and strong state,” said the President.

President Duda's behaviour was commented on in Tok FM by Euro MP Boris Budka. The vice-president of the PO believes that Andrzej Duda ends the presidency in a “an embarrassing way”. “If individual started with an illegal fight against the Constitutional Tribunal, he ends up as a organization officer at Nawrocki’s rally,” he said. He added that "he sympathizes with president Duda that he is standing next to a man who should explain himself to the criminal community today."
