If anyone else had doubts, then MP Krzysztof Mieszkowski dissolved them in a conversation with Radio Wrocław.

According to the MP, Poland and Europe already have not only political systems or economies, but besides “high values”. And not just any, just the ones from Brussels. Everything else is aberration, lignacy and propaganda of the 3rd Reich. Really.

"For me, the absolutely highest value we can practice present in Poland and in Europe, these are the values of the European Union," said the MP, with full seriousness, as if he recited the preamble to the fresh Constitution of the Union.

He interpelled the case to Minister Siemoniak. due to the fact that as he says, “this is serious.” And it should be admitted that it is uncommon for a politician with specified a commitment to fight for something so abstract as “practicing values” — it sounds like spiritual exercises in von der Leyen.

According to Mieszkowski, Poland was never better.

"Really in its past Poland has never been on specified a good level of improvement – material, economical and well-being," he proudly stated.

Of course, not all, but adequate to say that everything is cool — at least until individual votes for AFD, Braun or Meloni. And here comes the drama: despite this paradise on earth, society is being fascinated. Not from hunger, not from poverty, but from fear. The fear that — attention — is real, though it concerns things that are not.

“People actually feel any fear, possibly of something that is not truly there, but fear is real.”

If Sigmund Freud had lived, he would have utilized it. And yet, we have Mieszkowski, who explains that if individual is afraid of something that does not exist, it is the media, politicians and, of course, "fascising narrative".

The MP recalls that emigration is the foundation of Polishness. due to the fact that Chopin was an emigrant. And Mickiewicz. And Norwid. And since they were migrants, today's opposition to uncontrolled migration is not only inhumane, but... anti-Polish.

“The paradigm of Polish culture, but besides Christian culture, is founded on emigration, on the movement of people, on the culture of diversity.”

And, of course, the biggest threat to this openness is not, for example, human smugglers or asylum policy without control – but Grzegorz Braun, whose MP describes as a "political banjo". Well, if you go for street rhetoric, at least consistently.

In his radio era, Mieszkowski, with the passion of the prophet, is the fall of Europe, which, if it does not begin to live immediately with EU values, consumes itself with fear. The fresh technology, AFD, Meloni, the French right, and everyone who did not read “In the spirit of hope” by a German-Korean author whose name the MP does not remember (but the most crucial content).

"The societies will naturally enslave and fascism themselves" – he observes with seriousness Mieszkowski.

And all due to the fact that people are afraid of war, migrants, the deficiency of a car or – which is peculiarly outrageous – that they will gotta eat worms.

“Terror of war, threatening migrants, scaring the absence of a car, scaring the deficiency of food – you gotta eat worms – yes, yes, and just all that turns into ideology.”

In this light, even the belief that eating worms is not the tallness of European culinary civilization is almost an act of political extremism.

Mieszkowski concludes with an appeal: "It is essential to separate people from the fear of everyday life". How do we do that? I don't know. But it is known that those who “saturate” this fear — the right hand. And the solution is of course... values. European. The highest.
