The fresh electoral poll clearly indicates that the Law and Justice are in large trouble, and the situation of Jarosław Kaczyński's organization is increasingly complicated. If parliamentary elections had taken place now, no of the parties would have come to independent power, but the PiS would even have difficulty forming a coalition.


A fresh poll conducted by Pulse Opinii shows that Law and Justice are one more time facing a decline in support. This is simply a powerful stamp, and the civilian Coalition is gaining an expanding advantage over Jarosław Kaczyński's party. 1 can only presume that a fratricidal war among PiS politicians and a discussion around the EU's SAFE programme do not facilitate gaining support.

If parliamentary elections were held next Sunday, the Citizens' Coalition would triumph, which would win 34.2 percent of the vote, which means an increase of 2.2 percent points compared to the February Opinion Pulse Survey. The podium would stay unchanged, as the Law and Justice would be placed in further places with 22.0 percent support and the Confederation with 14.5 percent. For the Jarosław Kaczyński party, this means a drop of 2.5 percent points and for Sławomir Mentzen's group an increase of 1.9 percent points.

Behind the podium, but above the electoral threshold there are the Confederation of the Polish Crown with 7.2 percent of the votes (a decrease of 0.5 percent points) and the Left side with 6.1 percent support (a decrease of 0.2 percent points).

In the meantime, the organization with 4.1% of votes (no change compared to the erstwhile survey) would be below the electoral threshold. Polish People's organization with 3.0% support (an increase of 1.3 percent points) and Poland 2050 with 1.5% vote, that is 2.5 percent points little than in the February poll.

Polish preference was examined from 2 to 4 March, and 73 percent of respondents declared their willingness to participate in parliamentary elections if they were held next Sunday. The test was made up of 1001 adult Poles. The survey was conducted with computer assisted telephone (CATI) and net interviews (CAWI).

The PiS must act urgently. Second place is simply a serious problem.
