Putin's key to the Russians

Grzegorz Więdowski | Although no 1 wants to say it out loud yet, it all points to the fact that the biggest winning war in Ukraine is unfortunately Vladimir Putin. And it is not a spectacular triumph on the front, due to the fact that specified – it is known – Russia did not respond: Ukraine resists and everything indicates that it defended its sovereignty. Rather, it is about strengthening Putin's position in Russia – as provincials say, "cleaning the clearing": getting free of all political opponents, intimidating intelligence and buying the masses, which makes no change of leader impossible. Putin achieved this by ensuring economical stability, as well as introducing a strategy of full control and repression that excludes any opposition.
