Our first guest was col. Mariusz Swider Politologist and Arabist, erstwhile advisor at the Ministry of abroad Affairs. A postgraduate of the University of MGIMO (directed by diplomacy), he besides completed postgraduate studies in abroad service at the Polish Institute of global Affairs in Warsaw. Publicist, deals with the past and explanation of global relations. It was about his latest book.
The Book of Marius the Vidre "Marszał Rokossowski – Pole or Russian" presented to us this detailed, five-year investigation work, presenting the character of Konstanty Rokossowski as a tragic and complex man – a prominent commander, and at the same time a hostage of the strategy in which he served. The work is based on household and military materials, making it a valuable historical source. The author besides described his earlier work entitled “How Poles built Russia” and answered a number of questions from participants.
