Klaus Schwab helped Trump win? “Rzeczpospolita” on the abdication of the face of globalisation

The image of the modern liberal global planet represented by Klaus Schwab and the alleged people of Davos contributed to the revival of the right hand in many countries, with the United States at the head," says Marek A. Cichocki, columnist of Rzeczpospolita.

The 88-year-old reported a resignation from the leadership of the planet economical Forum last week. The German decision fell into the atmosphere of scandals and accusations of abuse of power. Cichocki notes that no 1 – even his closest colleagues – "does not despair" after the leading moderator of discussions on the direction of globalisation.

The columnist “Rzeczpospolita” argues that Klaus Schwab’s communicative perfectly illustrates the crisis of Western liberalism and technocratic elites, which characterized “the conviction of their infallibility, even divinity, greed and desire for unlimited power, lacking reflection on the belief in discipline and technology as instruments of full change in reality, full eliteism, favour and contempt for democracy.”

It was this vulnerability to the vast masses of the actual totalitarian face of Western globalisation that, according to the publicist, had a profound influence on the revival of "populism". Thus in left-wing liberal media, contemptible attitudes of patriotic and sovereign character are defined, most frequently founded on the right-wing and conservative image of the world. The most striking example of this was the election of Donald Trump as president of the United States.

“The communicative of Schwab is yet another story, known for centuries, about how pride walks before falling. But this fall communicative is besides inscribed in the current dynamics of the decay of the full Western liberal order of the world. The destiny of Davos is another illustration of this fundamental change, but besides of its causes," Cichocki notes. And as he argues, the dissolution of the demoliberic order of the planet comes primarily from “the inability to master its own destructive urges.”

It can be added that the urges that made us boast the plan of forced “save” humanity to the full world. Thus crossing 50 years of laborious, behind-the-clock ant work outside the spotlight and camera light.
