Claudia Jachira reported on Tuesday that she was suspended in the rights of a associate of the parliamentary club KO. On 12 September, the Sejm adopted an amendment to certain laws to verify rights to household benefits for foreigners and o conditions for assisting Ukrainian citizens in connection with an armed conflict within the territory of that country. It assumes, among another things, the extension of the legality of the residence of Ukrainian citizens who escaped the war until 4 March 2026, and the sealing of the strategy of receiving benefits by foreigners, including the connection of payments 800 plus with professional activity.

Previously, the bill was dealt with by the Sejm's administration and home affairs committee, which rejected the amendments by Jacira; MP wanted to associate the benefit 800 plus with professional activity not only of foreigners surviving in Poland, but besides of Polish citizens. Amendment of the Law on Assistance to Ukrainian Citizens
President Karol Nawrocki signed in late September Act on assistance to Ukrainian citizenswhich seals the strategy of receiving benefits to the household by foreigners. The right to these benefits has been linked to the professional activity of the parent and the learning of children in the Polish school, with exceptions to e.g. people with disabilities. In addition, the right to benefits will be linked to obtaining at least 50% of the minimum wage for work by foreigners, which means that in 2025 it will be PLN 2333 gross.
Under regulation, ZUS will check all period whether foreigners were active. If this was not the case in a given month, the benefit will be withheld and the transfer will not be sent. ZUS will besides verify in the registry of Chief Border Guard, whether the foreigner left Poland.
