Silent assassins of the national state
Several decades after the conclusion of the Treaty of Paris, the claim that European integration and national subjectivity stand together in opposition has fundamentally become a truism. What the national right warned against during the 2003 referendum run became a fact.
Unfortunately, the Polish authorities – both erstwhile and present – do not respond adequately to the EU's usurpation. The Government of Law and Justice, seemingly maintaining at least any hard rhetoric in relations with Brussels, in an effort to rise electoral funds in the form of the KPO, actually devoted to the Polish state's right. Moreover, even though the funds did not yet flow to Poland at the time, they had to be paid interest. In the name of the party's interest, which was not achieved, Jarosław Kaczyński's group allowed for a major step weakening our sovereignty.
The game was at that time at a much higher stake than winning any political environment in parliamentary elections. Consent to the "milestones", the communisation of debt and the link between European funds and the alleged regulation of law was a applicable inclusion in the policy of building a superstate without changing the treaties – and even against the far-reaching treaties. It will not be an exaggeration to say that during the period of the erstwhile team's regulation the erosion of Poland's sovereignty since 2004, comparable only to the ratification of the Treaty of Lisbon.
