According to the investigation service “Meduza”, in the south of Moscow, as a consequence of the detonation of an explosive device mounted under the car, the head of the operational training department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Russia, Lieutenant-General Faniyl Sarwarov, was killed. The criminal case was initiated on the basis of 2 articles of the Criminal Code: murders and trafficking in illegal explosives. ‘Meduza’ claims that a ‘magnetic’ explosive device was utilized that was mounted under the car.
