
Russian drones breached Polish airspace during Russia's night air raid on Ukraine – reported in the authoritative communication of the Operations Command of Armed Forces Types at 4:00 a.m. "The operation to identify and neutralise objects is ongoing," we read. The information stated that ‘arms’ were utilized for this purpose. Prime Minister Donald Tusk has already referred to the matter.
In the morning on Wednesday, September 10th, General Command issued an urgent announcement about the appearance of Russian drones over Polish airspace. Unmanned people violated the territory of Poland during a night raid on Ukraine.
"Note, in the course of today's attack by the Russian Federation on objects located in Ukraine, our airspace has been repeatedly breached by drone-type objects. An operation is underway to identify and neutralize objects. At the command of the Operational Commander of the RSZ, weapons were utilized and the operations of the services to find the shot down objects were ongoing," the Operations Command informed.
Moments later, the ruling authorities referred to the case, including the head of MON Władysław Kosiniak-Kamish and Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
"The operation is ongoing due to repeated violations of Polish airspace. The military utilized weapons against objects. I'm in constant contact with the president and the defence Minister. I received a direct study from the operational commander," wrote the head of government.
"We ask you to stay calm and to transmit only military and state services messages," the Minister of National Defence called for.
The Polish Press Agency then stated, citing the American national Aviation Agency (FAA), that due to the breach of the Polish airspace the airports in Rzeszów, Lublin and Warsaw are closed. A spokesperson for the Polish Air Navigation Agency announced after 7:00 a.m. that airports in Warsaw, Modlin and Rzeszów returned to average operation. The airport in Lublin remains in an emergency state.
"I have informed the Secretary-General of NATO about the current situation and the actions we have taken towards the objects that have breached our airspace. We are in constant contact," Prime Minister Tusk wrote in a later communication.
The National safety Bureau is presently in session. "Mostly Lublin, but not only, actually 3 provinces.
"What we can communicate is that up to a twelve drones have penetrated the Polish airspace"
– said president Minister of global Affairs Marcin Przycz.
