Kielce fair stronger in the Asian market

The fresh phase of global cooperation of the Kielce exhibition centre began in Germany, June 10, during Taiwan Expo 2024. For the first time in Europe, the Taiwanese External Trade improvement Council (TALTRA), an organization recognised as 1 of the main drivers of Taiwanese global trade. Kielce Fair is the only Polish centre with which TAITRA signed a contract.

TAITRA, or Taiwan External Trade improvement Council, is the main abroad trade organization in Taiwan and cooperates with Taiwanese government, companies and trade associations. Its activities influenced Taiwan's global position, which became 1 of the key players in the global market, with a dynamically developing export sector. Based in Taipei, TAITRA, whose squad has over 1,300 specialists, runs 5 local offices in Taiwan and 63 branches worldwide. With Taipei planet Trade Center (TWTC) and Taiwan Trade Center (TTC), TAITRA creates a global network. Taiwan's importance on the planet phase is mainly due to its dominant position in the semiconductor manufacture and another advanced technologies.

By signing the agreement, the president of the Board of the Kielce Fair, Dr Andrzej Mochoń and Simon Wang, head of the Taiwanese External Trade improvement Council, stressed that the agreement would strengthen economical relations between Polish and Taiwanese industry. - Taiwan is simply a global player not only in the production of semiconductors and in the electronic industry, but besides in the production of industrial machinery and equipment, the chemical and plastic industries, reinforcements, production for the children's industry. Kielce Fair organises events aimed at these industries. Most of these fairs have established their crucial function internationally. So we chose a Kielce centre for cooperation, which will contribute to strengthening our activities in the global marketplace – says Simon Wang, head of the Taiwanese External Trade improvement Council.

Kielce Fair, a deputy leader of the exhibition manufacture in Central and east Europe, was the only Polish centre with which TAITRA signed a contract at the Taiwan Expo in Berlin. “We are joining a group of leaders of cooperation with Taiwan in Europe”, stressed Dr Andrzej Mochoń, president of the Management Board of Kielce. He explains that Taiwanese companies have been participating in B2B trade fair events in Kielce for many years. Enhanced cooperation with a powerful Asian organization focuses primarily on the global Defence manufacture Salon MSPO, the Plastics and Rubber Processing Fair, the treatment of STOM metals, the renewable energy sources Enex, the packaging manufacture In-Pack, the children’s manufacture Kids’ Time.

“Cooperation with TAITRA will contribute to the business improvement of our exhibitors as well as Taiwanese companies,” explains Dr. Andrzej Mochoń. – During the spring fairs Enex and Plastpol we have already hosted representatives of TAITRA, who met exhibitors and visitors at their stand. Representatives of the Kielce Fair in autumn will be participants of Taipei Plas, the global trade fair of the plastics industry, and Energy Taiwan, the largest energy manufacture event in Taiwan. Our teams will advance events, encourage participation. fresh exhibitors and visitors from Taiwan are the possible for fresh business relationships of all participants of our events – the head of the Kielce exhibition centre points out.

Joint actions of the Kielce Fair and TAITRA

Under the signed agreement, Kielce and TAITRA undertook to take a number of initiatives, including the exchange of information to aid make fresh export and investment opportunities, support related to logistics and marketplace specifics. The agreement besides includes common promotion of the fair. Representatives of the centres will besides organize economical missions between Poland and Taiwan. The aim of these visits will be to make cooperation and to implement joint economical projects. Importantly, meetings and seminars will be organised for entrepreneurs in both countries to inform business representatives about investment opportunities, joint ventures and common trade benefits.

Strengthened global activities of the Kielce Fair

The agreement with TAITRA is another agreement of the Kielce Fair since the beginning of the year. In February, the centre signed a contract with the Qatari Dar Al-Sharq, the leading exhibition-media conglomerate in the Gulf region, partners prepare the mission and accept applications of producers and merchants from Poland to the Kids Expo, held in autumn 2024 in Qatar's capital, Dosze. The second edition of Sacroexpo Slovakia, which the Kielce Fair co-organises with the Incheb Expo Bratislava in September, is besides being prepared.

"The exhibition in Poland and Europe is experiencing a post-covid Renaissance, as indicated by Polish and global manufacture reports. Our centre in 2023 rebuilt the trade fair business at a level comparable to the period before the pandemic, almost in all the fair parameters: the number of exhibitors, visitors, rented space, as well as gross of 134 percent compared to 2019. In 2023 we were visited by 320 1000 people, we hosted 4240 exhibitors from 60 countries. By the end of May 2024, more than 160 1000 people had visited us, the number of exhibitors exceeded 3 thousand, they came to us from nearly 40 countries. Businesses from different parts of the planet want to participate in our events, want to grow. By creating strong relations between Kielce Fairs and global business organizations, we make fresh opportunities to build global cooperation for our exhibitors and visitors – emphasised Dr Andrzej Mochoń, president of Kielce Fairs.
