Senate Marshal Margaret Kidawa-Błońska (KO) demands an apology from Deputy Marshal Michał Kamiński (Third Road) after his accusations of "spying". The case has sparked a heated exchange between politicians.
Kamiński accuses: “Ubek methods in the Senate”
Senate Deputy Marshal Michał Kamiński on Friday at TVN24 revealed that his driver received a written instruction from the legislature to supply information on his "health and household life". The politician called it an effort to "spy" and usage "ubec methods".
– His manager sent him a letter about it. present we will make it public," said Kamiński. He added that he hoped that Marshal Kidawa-Błońska had no bearing on this, but expected to have consequences for those responsible. – I request apologies and resignation of the guilty – he stressed.
Kidawa-Błońska: “This is crazy. Kamiński thinks besides much about himself”
The legislature Marshal powerfully rejected the charges, calling them absurd. I'm appalled. I did not think that Mr Kamiński could respond so nervously and accuse of something that did not happen," she said in a conversation with TVN24.
– What do I care about Mr. Kamiński or his driver? The Senator comes to work, the Deputy Marshal leads the proceedings, he's in the meetings. He truly thinks besides much about himself," added Kidawa-Błońska.
She pointed out that she expected Kamiński to apologize for “putting false accusations.” “This is simply a letter he speaks about, all the marshals and people utilizing business cars received. This is simply a standard procedure – she explained.
What does controversial writing contain?
According to TVN24, the paper to which Kamiński referred is entitled ‘The absence of Vice Marshals’. Its content is:
"Gentlemen, as of today, I will oblige you to inform me of any absences of Vice Marshals. If the Deputy Marshal is going somewhere, going, going on vacation, being sick, etc., I request to know that.”
Under the news is the signature of the head of the legislature Chancellery (Administrative Office, Department of Transport).
Is this the end of the argument?
The substance is inactive emotional, and both sides stay at their posts. Kamiński announces disclosure of documents, and Kidawa-Błońska expects the charges to be dropped. Will there be an amicable solution to the conflict, or will the dispute decision to public debate?
