16th anniversary of the Smolensk bombing.
On the spring day of April we met before the Monument of the Non-violent Soldiers and the Memorial of the failure of Homeland, to celebrate on the 16th anniversary the memory of the victims of the Smolensk tragedy, on which the president of Poland Lech Kaczyński and 96 Polish delegation died for the celebration of the 70th anniversary of the Katyn crime.
Together with the president of the Polish Dzierżoniów II paper Club Stefan Grefling, the president of the ORP Ireneusz Wagnerski and the vice-president of the RM Jarosław Kresa, representatives of the club and association, they commemorated the victims of the Smolensk Tragedy. The ceremony began with the national anthem, then the president of the organization spoke mentioning the circumstances and the course of the catastrophe, or, in the light of fresh research, the Smolensk bombing. We prayed for the dead. We folded a bunch of flowers and lit candles in front of the Monument of the Cursed Soldiers on the Lt. Luke Ciepliński Square and in front of the Memorial of the failure of Homeland in the Solidarity Square.
16 years ago, on 10 April 2010 over Smolensk, there was a tragedy in which 96 participants of the flight were killed to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the russian Russia's Katyn crime. The president of the Republic of Poland, Prof. Lech Kaczyński, headed that delegation. president Maria Kaczyńska was besides present on board the plane, as well as the last president of Poland in exile Ryszard Kaczorowski, parliamentarians, generals and clergy representatives.
Today, representatives of local patriotic communities met in front of the Monument of the Cursed Soldiers and the Memorial of the failure of Homeland in Dzierżoniów to celebrate the memory of all those who died at that time in Russia. The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Polish Dzierżoniów II Club of Newspapers. besides present was the mayor of Dzierżoniów Municipality Marcin Pięt and the territory and places of councillors of Law and Justice. White and red flowers were placed, among others, on behalf of Euro MP Michał Dworczyk and MP Grzegorz Macko.

On 10 April 2010, at 8.46 Polish time, an unprecedented catastrophe occurred in our history. The Tu-154M aircraft, belonging to the 36th peculiar Transport Regiment, crashed in the fog in unexplained circumstances. The plane was carrying a Polish delegation - led by the president of the Republic - to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Katyn crime. 96 people were killed in the crash - all on board.
