Prime Minister Tusk: “Free journalism and free media are not meant to join forces with the government to go after the opposition, but to work with the opposition to keep a close eye on the government. I besides anticipate the media to take a critical stance toward those in power, not toward the opposition. Democracy in Poland is under threat, in part due to the fact that the independent media believe it is much easier to attack the opposition than to hold the government accountable.”
