Qatari Airways present reported on X that from Thursday they will be operating "limited evacuation flights" from the Maskat in Oman and Riyadh in Saudi Arabia for travellers who are stuck in Gulf countries due to the war.
Flights are scheduled from Oman to the Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, large Britain, Spain and Italy, and from Saudi Arabia to Germany – she forwarded Reuter's agency, citing the carrier's message.
The war began on 28 February with the US and Israel attacks on Iran. Tehran retaliated to fire on, among others, US bases and civilian airports in the region. This paralyzed ordinary, very intense air traffic. Airports in the mediate East are hubs serving connections between Europe and Asia.
According to the media yesterday, citing Flightradar24 data, in the first 4 days of the war, airports only cancelled more than 21,000 flights in the United arabian Emirates.
