We all remember most likely the fresh case of the blasphemous cafe in Warsaw, and previously the blasphemous installation, painting, graphics, art... have collected these things and unfortunately no end can be seen. You can't see in spite of the petition, or alternatively the quirks that all association and organization establishes in its name. 1 will sign 1434 people, the another 418, the 3rd - a larger organization - 5748. Someone's going to a protest, they're going to hang out with a banner for a while, they're going to talk to the media about it, the coffee shop's gonna thank you for the free publicity, and it's quiet, the cafe stops reasoning about it, we decision on, which is different.
It's just... is that how it should be? We're ineffective, so we're doing something wrong. What are we doing incorrect that they mock our God, that they mock Him to whom we owe absolutely everything?
Let's go back to school. Many of us, if not most of us, most likely faced a situation of persecution, ridicule, and humiliation. possibly we were part of it on either side, possibly just viewers, or possibly we just heard about it. Children can be cruel, and who do they choose to sacrifice? The class bully, who could inadvertently contact half his teeth, was insurmountable on the gym, and had a police father? No, of course not. A mocked and insulted individual is the weakest, quietest, possibly a small clumsy, 1 who can't defend himself.
The weak, silent, defenseless... is that our God?
When my firstborn boy was born, he heard from his grandparents about... “God.” This did not take long due to the fact that my husband and I reacted immediately and firmly, after a fewer reminders my grandparents learned that there is no “God” that there is 1 Lord God in heaven.
I inactive have a part of the sermon in my ears that the children heard at Mass, during which they first accepted the Savior of the planet into their hearts. This time, this story, which is happening in 1 of the cities of western Poland, did not end well, due to the fact that the children heard that this day is not the most crucial PlayStation, due to the fact that it will break down or get bored, only the most crucial is Jesus, due to the fact that he will become their friend, even erstwhile the toy gets bored. What's incorrect with that conviction and what am I picking on? Yeah, yeah, what makes you think you should talk about PlayStation (or any another toy) in a sermon during the holy liturgy? Why remind children of this, why direct their thoughts this way? Come on, what's this for a compilation: our God, our Life and Salvation, versus a part of iron?! Are there truly no another arguments that would support the surviving God, but that material things are passing away?! And this friendship, completely misunderstood, but it's a subject for separate consideration.
Next, there was the action “I am not ashamed of Jesus.” Am I picking on you again? What do you say, dear reader, to the action “I am not ashamed to eat bread” or “I am not ashamed to wear a scarf”? Ridiculous, isn't it? Why should we be ashamed of absolutely normal, good and essential things? Why should we be ashamed of our Lord and Savior? Yeah, why? Why would you even think that, Jesus and shame? I can realize fear due to the fact that sometimes for God you gotta quit your life and fears are just something human, but shame? “I’m not ashamed of my crippled friend”, I’m a bit acquainted with this action.
Recently, the news went through the media that in any parish of children after Mass at the unchangeable they had the chance to draw a prize... a rabbit, a live animal. In the announcements this situation was described in the kind “we hope that the children will long remember this peculiar moment”. So children come to the church not to the Eucharist, which is the summit of Christian life and the presence of Christ's saving sacrifice, only for a “special moment” which is the drawing of rabbits, sweets or another awards. They come for colorful pictures to hear a comic sermon with amazing props to say something to the microphone and get praise from the priest. Finally, however, there comes a minute erstwhile all of this grows out, and abruptly a young man realizes that there is nothing to look for in the church, due to the fact that the pictures and rabbits are no longer for him, and the God who lives there is seemingly boring and has nothing to offer, since he needs to be “stretched” with rabbits, dress-up in missionary costumes or entertaining sermons. And the average age of believers is constantly growing, and priests wonder what to do to “attract young people to the Church”.
What image of God emerges from the above pictures, which, of course, are only a cutout, but a typical cutout, a larger whole? We don't send word to the planet that God is weak, weak, boring and completely unattractive? The planet has no doubt: he who believes in specified a God is simply a fool. And he laughs at fools, due to the fact that it's actually funny, and any school-school stalkers never grew up with their cruel habits and just gotta laugh.
In 1908, a fewer days after Christmas, the Italian city of Messyna struck a powerful earthquake, present referred to as the most devastating earthquake recorded in Europe. Weak, defenseless, unattractive...? Yes, in Bethlehem God became weak to us, but he did it due to the fact that he is all-powerful. He was a man, but he never ceased to be God, walked between us on the earth, but he did unimaginable miracles, fed thousands, healed, even resurrected, taught with power and strength, which beat from all his attitude, from his very presence. Blessed Anna Catherine Emmerich in her visions notes a large stir even in nature at the time of the earthly birth of our God, at the time of His saving death on the cross. Nature understands specified things with all the simplicity with which it was created, and we? What image of God do we carry in our hearts, souls and minds? Have we not taken distant his strength and power? God can act in our lives, in our nation, as long as we believe in His action!
Let's go back to the restaurant I mentioned at the beginning. Do we have adequate religion to go inside, ask for a conversation with the owner, and simply exhort him? But not to exhort him due to the fact that he offends our spiritual feelings and we are sorry. God’s attitude does not grasp anything, it is adequate to imagine an ant insulting an elephant. specified a man should be admonished due to himself and the danger he brought upon himself and his soul. “Repent and depart from blasphemy until time and test God. In the 3 days of ash from this place, the Lord will not leave if you do not repent!" - how unusual would those words sound on the 21st - eternal street, but should they not fall? Allah is simply a just justice who rewards and commands for good. We've forgotten this, we don't commit sins anymore, so we don't request to be redeemed, and that's why Christmas Mass needs rabbits and props to make it any interesting or attractive...
