Canada develops cooperation with Finland and Sweden

Canada and Finland spoke of a "strategic partnership in the field of abroad and safety policy" over the past fewer days in Helsinki to Canada's abroad Minister Anita Anand, and an industrial minister Melanie Joly discussed a "strategic partnership between Canada and Sweden" in Stockholm. These are Canada's next authoritative agreements with the Nordic countries since Canada and Norway informed about bilateral cooperation in March 2023. In June 2022, Canada was the first NATO country to ratify the requests of Finland and Sweden to join the Alliance.
