On Friday, January 31, Zbigniew Ziobro was forced to bring to the Sejm, where he was to attest before the Pegasus committee of inquiry. Eventually, it didn't. Members of the committee voted to request 30-day detention for the erstwhile Minister of Justice. The case caused a immense storm and a wave of comments. As it turns out, we can shortly face another political brawl.
Mariusz Kamiński declared on tv in Poland24 that he would not appear at the call of the Pegasus committee. – I heard Mrs. Magpie at 1 of the tv stations who didn't remember erstwhile she called me, but she said that specified a call was addressed to me. I have not yet received it, but I presume it is apparent and my reaction will besides be obvious," said the Euro MP. The Commission's policy is illegal, as the Constitutional Court has ruled. – According to the Polish constitution, specified decisions of the Constitutional Tribunal are final, are not subject to any control, no congestions. I take Polish law seriously, I take fundamental democratic institutions in our country, and that is the institution of the Constitutional Tribunal," stressed the PiS MEP.
– Therefore, I inform the public that I will not be able to present myself and to any degree regret it, due to the fact that it may sound paradoxically, but in my interest, Zbigniew Ziobro, Bogdan Święczkowski, another ministers and heads of service, it would be a full presentation of public opinion as the substance is absolutely manipulated," he added in an interview with Poland24.
According to Mariusz Kamiński, the members of the committee are not about fact and material arrangements, but about brutal politics. – With full premeditation, they cynically sought to collect material that they thought justified the arrest of Zbigniew Ziobra for 30 days. It is wickedness, vanity, the lust for power by these people speaks, breaking all the rules – he said.
