Even before the press conference began, microphones recorded Donald Trump's conversation with Emmanuel Macron. The president of the United States spoke of possible negotiations with Vladimir Putin:
– I think he (Putin - ed.) wants to scope an agreement," said Trump to Macron. I think he wants to make a deal on my behalf, you know? nevertheless crazy that sounds, he added.
The conversation besides revealed that Trump was considering organising a tripartite gathering with Putin and Zelenski. CNN correspondent Jeff Zelena pointed out that in Trump's conviction the agreement would be concluded "for him".
