With six medals, soldiers return from Portugal, where the European championship in slalom canoeing took place. In Germany, the bronze in the planet Cup kayakers competition was won by peculiar expert Claudia Zwolińska. And in Warsaw, in the military championships in judo, the representation of the Polish Army won 14 discs: 5 gold and silver and 4 bronze.
In the Portuguese town of Montemor-o-Velho, Poland's representation during the Old Continent Championships in canoe sprinkling and paracajaking won 9 medals: 1 gold and 4 silver and bronze. Alex Borucki won the only championship title in the K-1 competition at 500 m. Of the remaining 8 medals won by the White-Red six went to the representatives of the Central Military Sports Team. 7 canoes from the “arm of masters” and 1 kayaker stood on the podium.
Medals of water
The runner-up title was won by 4 canoes in the line-up: Bishop Dominika Putto, St.-Wsher. spec. Katarzyna Kolicek, St.-Wsher. Sandra Ostrowska and St.-Wsher. Adrianna Kąkol. The foundation in this compilation was late created and, most importantly, 2 of the contestants: Putto and the Church, more known under the maiden name Kołodziejczyk, returned to canoeing tracks after the maternity break. The Poles in the race at 500 m lost only to the Italians, and the bronze medal won the runners-up under the neutral Belarusian flag. Representatives of Italy in the semi-meter were ahead of the CWZS canoes by 0.603 p. At the finish line they increased the advantage to 0.760 p. Polki were faster than bronze medalists by 0.315 p.
Twice on the second phase of the podium stood st. wide spec. Anna Puławska, who won the runner-up title in the canoe 1 and 2 at 500 m distance. In the settlement with a double silver medalist Martin Klatt sailed. In the individual Pulawska race, only Paulina Jagsch from Germany could not get ahead – she lost 0.840 pp. On the another hand, by 0.020 s she overtook Hungarian Zóka Csikós. In the final A 2 Polish, with 1 min 46,426 s, lost by 0.530 s to the German duo: Paulina Pazek-Jagsch. The 3rd place was taken by Lucrezia Zironi and Giada Rossetti from Italy. Italians were slower than White-Red by 0.430 pp.
Among the representatives of the Central Military Sports Team, 2 bronze medals were won by the canadykarka St. wide-ranging specialist Dorota Borowska. In sprinkling in singles by 200 m, with a time of 45,504 s, she lost by 1.794 s to Ukrainian Ludmila Luzan and by 0.065 s to Italian Olympia Dell Giustina. On the another hand, in the two, in the final A at a distance of 500 m, Borowska together with Milena Mackiewicz gained a score of 44.914 pp. The Ukrainians (Luzan and Anastasia Rybachok) and the Spanish (Angela Moreno and Victoria Jarczewska) sailed faster than Poles. On the another hand, the 3rd bronze disc won the st. scale spec. Viktor Głazunow in the final competition C-1 5000 m. Canadian CGM lost only to representatives of Moldova and Hungary. Gold won Serghei Tarnovschi and silver by Adolf Balázs.
Mountain canoeers competed for medals last weekend. The 3rd edition of the planet Cup competition was held at the track in Augsburg, Germany. The only medal for the White-Reds was won by peculiar Specialist Claudia Zwolińska. The Olympic runner-up was the 3rd in its crown K-1 competition – to the winner, German Ricardo Funk, lost 2.66 p. The sixth place in the competition in the same competition among men was taken by Mateusz Polaczyk. This season, Zwolińska stood at the trophy podium for the 3rd time – a fewer days before the competition in Augsburg on the Troy track in Prague won 2 silver medals. The CWD canoe was second in the K-1 competition and in the Kayak cross.
On the Tatami in Warsaw
In the sports hall of the Sports and Recreation Centre Warsaw-Italy judots fought for medals of the CISM Regional Championship (International Military athletics Council). Soldiers from France, Lithuania, Uzbekistan and Poland competed in the tournament. The hosts of the championship won 14 discs: 5 gold and silver and 4 brown.
On the highest phase of the podium from representatives of the Polish Army, which as a coach were taken care of by the Deputy Prime Minister Damian Lisiewicz, were: prof. Piotr Kuczera (Central Military Sports Team), Maj. Alexander Kalet (CZS), Szer. Julia Kowalczyk (CZS), Szer. spec. Angelika Szymańska (CZS) and Szer. Katarzyna Sobierajska (5 Lubuski Regiment of Artillery). The silver was won by: General Denis Gargasz (34th Air Defence Rocket Squadron Bytom), General Miłosz Kłos (100th Battalion of Communication Walcz), General peculiar Eliza Wróblewski (CWZS), General King Wolszczak (CWZS) and the squad that took second place in the squad tournament. The bronze medals were won by: Wier. Szymon Śmiegel (Bathalion of Command of the Armed Forces Support Inspectorate), Wiktor Mrówczyński (CWZS), Sgt. Damian Szwarnowecki (Academy of Land Forces Wrocław) and Ilona Khrushch (8 Koszalin Anti-aircraft Regiment).
The first championship tournament for Judos competing for medals under the flag of the global Military athletics Council (CISM) organized by the Polish Army was very well rated by the guests. – Colonel Reza Bagheri, president of judo at CISM, attended the event, admitted that he had not seen better organized competitions in 25 years. While praising us for the organization, he stated that we could easy apply for the organization of the planet Military Championships," said Major Piotr Krajewski, Judo coordinator in the Central Military Sports Team.
In the opinion of Major Krajewski, representatives of the Polish Army did well in confronting players who regularly compete in the most crucial planet tournaments. He only regretted that in the squad tournament the Poles, after a 3–1 triumph over the French, had bad luck in the draw in a gold duel. – After six fights, the score was tied and about the gold medal had to decide an additional duel. It was drawn in which category it was to take place, and it fell on the 1 in which the rivals had a stronger player in their lineup," explains the major.
St. szer. spec. Piotr Kuczera, who won competition in the category up to 100 kg, competed twice for medals at the Olympic Games and competed many times in the planet and European championships as well as in many prestigious global tournaments. From the position of his experience he evaluates the organizational level of the Warsaw event very well. “It truly did not disagree from the top-ranking tournaments,” admits the Olympic. He besides adds that he was pleased that he could compete in Poland in front of the Polish audience and win a medal. The competitions in Warsaw were good for him before his waiting start in Mongolia, where he could gain points to qualify for the Los Angeles Olympic Games.
In the category of up to 90 kg of colours, the Polish Army was defended by Mr Damian Szwarnowecki. In the fight for the bronze medal he defeated Litwin Aidas Pileckas. He was pleased with the triumph and with another start at the event under the CISM flag. On a regular basis, he trains the AWL of Wroclaw and, among others, competes with them in utmost runs counted as the Grand Slam of Commandos. After the results he achieves on the dads, you can see that these runs with the commandos set at the head do not interfere with the competition in combat sports. - 1 doesn't argue with the other. I keep this physical activity all the time to stay in form and to be an example to my patients. I besides compete in another martial arts.
