PiS president Jarosław Kaczyński criticised Prime Minister Donald Tusk for his words about compensation from Germany for the victims of planet War II. Tusk at a gathering with Chancellor Friedrich Merzem stated that if Poland did not receive a clear declaration on this matter, he would pay compensation from his own funds. Kaczyński expressed outrage on social media with this statement.

- If we don't get a fast and unambiguous statement, I'll be considering a decision next year that Poland will meet this request with its own resources. I don't want to talk about it any more, said the Polish Prime Minister with Friedrich Merza.
The press conference summarizing the gathering of both politicians mentioned, among others, the maintenance of Polish-German friendship, the alliance on safety issues or the improvement of road infrastructure at the border crossing. However, the top emotion was raised by the question of compensation for victims of war crimes from Germany, which Poland has been demanding for years.
Kaczyński powerfully about Tusk's statements in Berlin
The subject of compensation for the harm the Polish nation suffered during planet War II is simply a field of political gameplay between the right and the ruling coalition. president of PiS Jarosław Kaczyński, who maintains that paying them to Poles should happen as shortly as possible, criticized the approach of the Polish Prime Minister.
Kaczyński stated that in words of "filling this request with his own resources" Donald Tusk spoke out against victims of Nazi crimes.
"I can't believe it! The Polish Prime Minister in Berlin talks about support for the direct victims of German Nazism from the Polish budget? Tusk wants to pay German crimes with money from Polish citizens? Polish support – absolutely YES, but under no circumstances alternatively of German war compensations!" – he thundered in Kaczyński's network.

Tusk's words in Berlin were besides negatively assessed by president Zbigniew Bogucki's chief of law firm in the "Guest of Events" programme. Counselor Karol Nawrocki stated that the Prime Minister's thought is "absurd".
"This is simply a terrible idea, due to the fact that the criminals were Germans and the victims were Poles. The Nazi Germans invaded the Second Republic. It's kind of like saying that individual who suffered in an accident is not expected to make up for this man's accident. It's his family. present Donald Tusk says precisely that - stated Bogucki on Polsat News. - We are to pay for damages, compensation for crimes committed on us, on our families, on our loved ones, on Poles, on Polish citizens of another nationalities. Although these crimes were committed by Germany and never paid for it. This is ridiculous. - he said.
Friedrich Merz, who was asked to make amends for Poland for losses incurred during the war period, stated that the issue was explained for the Germans and should not be subject to further discussions.
- I'm sorry. The issue of political and legal repair is clarified. It is clear, however, that commemoration and facing past will never end," said the Chancellor of Germany.
The question of war reparations returns. Nawrocks for Compensation
The subject of spending funds for Poland in commemoration of the victims of planet War II resounded in public space with the beginning of the presidency of Karol Nawrocki. In September, during his visit to Berlin, he raised this issue with German president Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
This gathering did not have the desired effect for the president either. On platform X, the spokesperson for the president of Germany, Cerstin Gammelin, Steinmeierem rejected Nawrocki's application.

"With mention to the request for reparation by the president of the Republic of Poland, the president stressed that from the position of Germany this issue was legally regulated. However, supporting commemoration and memory remains a shared concern" - she wrote.
Nawrocki, like right-wing politicians, claims that the issue of reparation remains unexplained in Poland, and in the interest of both states there is simply a constructive discussion on this topic.
