Zbigniew Ziobro has asylum in Hungary. We've officially known this since Monday, January 12. This information was provided by a politician, Bartosz Lewandowski. Shortly thereafter, Ziobro himself published an entry on the X portal (ex-twitter) in which the Donald Tusk government threw mud at him, suggesting that Poland has a " cryptodictature".

The asylum of Hungary, which included the erstwhile Minister of Justice and the lawyer General, outraged the liberal part of politicians. The head of the Polish government signed the protection guaranteed by the administration Viktor Orbán with the words: "Mr Ziobro, who was the mastermind of the political corruption system, asked Viktor Orbán's government for political asylum. It's a logical choice."
The comment of the president of Law and Justice did not take long. During a press conference held on Tuesday, Jarosław Kaczyński was asked what opinion the PiS had on this asylum. The politician said he didn't mind.
– In Poland, Mr. Ziobro, (...), cannot number on a fair trial, that is beyond any discussion," said Kaczyński, suggesting that due to the cancer of the malignant esophagus, the arrest of Ziobra "would simply lead to his premature death".
– This is already, (...), an action that, perhaps, may even be qualified as a homicide and this killing with peculiar cruelty," added the head of the Law and Justice Office.
"Rzeczpospolita" recalled that on 22 December the territory Court for Warsaw-Mokotowa postponed until 15 January the gathering on the prosecutor's request for the provisional arrest of Zbigniew Ziobra. As we read, the day later, the erstwhile minister received an act of granting asylum, but kept this information to himself.
When everything became clear, PiS politicians came to the floor. And they were expected to be angry, both in terms of hiding asylum, and in terms of abruptly revealing that fact. – This is simply a terrible news for the PiS – he told journalists "Rzeczpospolita" politician from Nowogrodzka.
