PiS president Jarosław Kaczyński believes that there are no grounds for recalculating all the votes cast in the presidential election. The election was fair, he said. According to him, those who question their results do so due to the fact that they cannot accept defeat.

When asked on Tuesday by journalists in the Sejm why, in relation to reports of irregularities, the votes in the presidential election cannot be recalculated, Kaczyński replied, "because there's no basis."

"There is no specified institution at all to recalculate all votes, and there is simply a regulation of legalism, the state operates on the basis and within the framework of the law" - added.

"They can't accept defeat"

He said the election was fair. He besides estimated that "there are quite a few politicians who in 1 way or another question the results of the election," "because they simply can't accept the failure." He added that "it is not in Poland's interest to do what this ringing is doing, which is now trying to convince that there were falsified elections".

When asked why he refused to call for a vote conversion, where necessary, Kaczyński replied: "because it's totally illegal."

To note that he would most likely protest himself if he knew that his vote for Karol Nawrocki was "thrown" in the election commission on Rafał Trzaskowski, the head of the Law and Justice Service replied that "there is no reason to believe" that specified irregularities occurred in many cases. He added that journalists do not really know if this was the case in those committees in which the SN ordered to review the cards due to the fact that there was no authoritative information about it.

Journalists recalled that according to information from the prosecutor's office, e.g. in 1 of the 2 regional commissions in Bielsko-Biala where irregularities occurred, 160 votes cast on Trzaskowski were included in a package with votes attributed to Nawrock and were recorded in the minutes.

Note that this is simply a circumstantial number of votes and whether for the "cleanness of the case" it would be worth to number the votes, the PiS chief reiterated that "there is no reason to question the result of the election".

"We know this is simply a terrible defeat of this coalition, the way to its demise, and then to account for all that has happened here." - said Kaczyński.

They counted the votes in a twelve committees.

The ultimate Court, which is investigating protests against the election of the president of the Republic of Poland, ordered an examination of voting cards, i.e. in practice recalculation of votes, in respective regional committees in the country. On the weekend, it was informed that the prosecutor, authorized by lawyer General Adam Bodnar of the Department of Judicial Procedure of the National Prosecutor's Office, was acquainted with the protocols for the examination of voting cards from 10 regional electoral commissions. According to the DA's office, in 7 of them there was a vote exchange, which led to the mistaken acceptance that more votes were received in these circuits by Karol Nawrocki.

According to Monday's report, 10.5 1000 protests against the President's election have been registered in the SN for the time being; nearly 50,000 have been reported in all protests. After recognizing all the protests, on the basis of the election study presented by the PCW, the ultimate Court in the composition of the full Chamber of Extraordinary Control and Public Affairs decides on the validity of the election of the president of the Republic of Poland. The resolution shall be adopted in public within 30 days of the publication of the results of the selection. This means that the last day to which this decision should be decided is July 2.
