The authoritative start of the production of vehicles for Australia at Hanwha Aerospace 3 in Changwon, South Korea was attended by production managers and engineers from Hanwha Aerospace, Hanwha Defence Australia (HDA), as well as representatives of the Australian Capability Acquisition and Sustainability Group (CASG). In Korea, the first 2 copies of the AS9 Huntsman artillery strategy (being an Australian variant of the well-known K9A1) will be built along with an automated AS10 ammunition car based on the same chassis. The implementation of AS9 Huntsman will importantly increase the capabilities of the Australian Army in terms of propellity and mobility of barrel artillery.
