The $2.6 billion contract assumes that before 2026 Hanwha will hand over six guns to the Polish army in the K9A1 version and 146 K9PL vehicles from 2026 to 2027.
Supplies continue. To date, Poland has received around 180 vehicles. They go to units located in the east part of the country. Part of the K9 has already been baptized on the ground. The fire from the Korean cannonhaubic was led by soldiers of the 1st Mazurian Artillery Brigade.
Meanwhile, K9 is not the only equipment that Poland brings from South Korea. K2 Black Panther tanks have been flying over the Vistula River for any time. The Ministry of Defence bought 180 specified wagons, while negotiations are presently underway for another agreement.
