In a period and a half, you won't know your parent tongue. Council of the Polish Language introduces 11 key changes

Since 1 January 2026, Polish orthography will undergo the biggest improvement in years. The Council of the Polish Language introduces 11 fresh rules of spelling, which – although emotional – are intended to order and facilitate the usage of the language in practice. Importantly, by 2030 old and fresh rules will apply at the same time, so that everyone has time to change.
