Donald Trump made another decision on social media in his "fight" to join Canada in the United States in early February. He stated that without US subsidies Canada "cannot be as a country capable of surviving". The president added that Canada would skip customs if it became the 51st U.S. state.

"We pay hundreds of billions of dollars to SUBSIDIATE Canada. Why? There's no reason. We don't request anything they have. We have unlimited energy, we should produce our own cars, and we have more wood than we can always use. Without this immense grant, Canada ceases to be as a country capable of surviving. Brutal, but true! Canada should so become our beloved 51st state," declared Trump in an entry on his community portal fact Social.
How did Justin Trudeau react?
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said on Friday that “the speech of U.S. president Donald Trump on the absorption of Canada “is true” and is related to the country’s rich natural resources,” says The Straits Times.
During a gathering with representatives of Canadian business and trade unions, the Prime Minister of Canada drew attention to Trump's motive. “They are very aware of our resources, what we have, and they want to take advantage of it. But Mr Trump means that 1 of the easiest ways to do that is to absorb our country. And this is the real thing," said Trudeau quoted by “Toronto Star”.
