Let's build a more beautiful world!
The last gathering of the SDP Cultural Publications Club will be held on Wednesday, 5 June 2024, at 6 p.m. – as usual at the Journalist's House, 3/5 Foksal Street in Warsaw. The guest will be filmmaker Eugeniusz Starky, who spent more than 30 years in the US, returned to Poland and will present an overview of films directed by him under the motto "Let's Build a Beautifulr World".

Eugeniusz Starky – director, screenwriter, movie operator, producer. He is simply a postgraduate of Aliance Francais in Paris and movie studies at the City University of fresh York (he graduated with honors and debut movie of the Emigrant suitcase (about artists of solidarity emigration in the US)). From 1987 to 1997 he was the leading organizer of Polish cultural events in the USA and Canada. Among another things, he organized concerts by Ewa Demarczyk, the Baran Basin, the Halka Opera, Jesus Christ Superstar, in the most prestigious halls, specified as the Montreal Opera, the San Francisco Opera, the Chicago Theater, and the Lincoln Center. They received excellent reviews in the American and Canadian press. In addition, he organized over 250 different types of events, shows, festivals and movie screenings in the USA, Canada, France and Italy.

In 1998, he returned to the movie after becoming a typical of Matonti Films at the Cannes Festival. To this he has made more than 30 documentary films, including: From the Gulag Archipelago to America (trilogy on Poles deported to Siberia), Rodeo Town, Honor of the City, Poles – Pioneers of America, conflict for City Honor (about the Warsaw Uprising), Correspondent Bryan (about the siege of Warsaw in 1939, recognized as the best Polish war film), Fighting for Honor, 1944 Uprisings in Europe, Giotto – Salvation History, 1939 Siege of Warsaw (this movie received the main prize at the NNW Festival in Gdynia and Presidents Award at the Polish movie Festival in Chicago) and many others.

The show "Let's Build a Beautifulr World" is simply a compilation of excerpts of director's films with a message to show the beauty and goodness that our planet can make better.

FILM PROGRAM "Build a Brighter World"
The thought of the show is to show what is beautiful and what can be shown with a movie camera or camera. From short videos, or excerpts of movies show beauty and goodness that can make us and the planet better.
