Judge Waldemar Żurek, known for defending the regulation of law in Poland, continues to fight the groundless repressions that affected him during the PiS rule. After the change of power, the justice actively seeks to settle those liable for harassment against him and another judges. He late filed another announcement with the National Prosecutor's Office, this time against Deputy Disciplinary Officer Przemysław Radzik. Żurek besides demands suspension of Radzik and another disciplinary agents – Piotr Schab and Michał Lasota.

“Executors” Ziobra in the Fire of Criticism

Judge Żurek refers to Radzik, Schab and Lasota as “executors” who were liable for mass repression of judges defending the regulation of law during the PiS rule. Żurek himself was 1 of the most persecuted judges – he was charged with 23 groundless disciplinary proceedings, and the prosecution and CBA conducted many months of investigations against him.

The latest announcement to the D.A.'s office concerns accusations and false accusations from Radzik. This is simply a case of Żurek's alleged falsification of 68 judgments, which has already been dropped by both the prosecution and the ad hoc disciplinary officer. Nevertheless, Radzik inactive accuses the judge, which Żurek considers to be a violation of the principles of presumption of innocence and an effort to undermine his reputation.

Żurek demands suspension of disciplinary spokespersons

Judge Żurek, supported by lawyer Justyna Borucka, applied to Justice Minister Adam Bodnar to suspend Schab, Radzik and Lasota. He had previously requested their appeal, but due to the cadence of their positions the minister could not do so. Now Żurek and Borucka argue that the grounds for suspension may be the ongoing investigation in the National Prosecutor's Office, including those concerning repression of the judge.

"It is unacceptable that Advocates for Disciplinary Justices of the General Courts in the individual of Mr. Piotr Schab, Mr. Przemysław Radzik and Mr. Michał Lasota proceed to hold their positions and proceed actively to harass the justice [Zurka – ed.], who has been doing so many actions in defence of the regulation of law for the past 9 years," emphasises Baruck's patron.

Radzik and his “investigation” on the coup

Przemysław Radzik, deputy disciplinary spokesman, is not limited to attacks on justice Żurek. He late revealed that he was conducting a "investigation" on a alleged coup in the judiciary. Radzik intends to interview, among others, Minister of Justice Adam Bodnar and Prime Minister Donald Tusk. His actions are controversial, especially as it is based on papers whose credibility is being questioned.

Radzik announces the creation of a "great indictment" against judges who defended the regulation of law and aid reconstruct it. His actions are seen as an effort to destabilise the current power and undermine the improvement of the judiciary.

Repressions to fresh Court Presidents

disciplinary agents associated with the Law and Justice do not halt trying to harass judges. They have late opened investigations against fresh court presidents appointed by Minister Bodnar – Rafał Jerka, president of the Olsztyn territory Court, and Karol Ratajczak, president of the Poznań Court of Appeals.

In the case of Jerka, the allegations concern the increase in the allocation of cases to neo-Judge Tomasz Koszewski, who had previously been celebrated for his unfounded disciplinary proceedings against judges. In turn Ratajczak was accused of blocking the evaluation of candidates for promotion from the illegal neo-KRS.

Żurek continues to fight for justice

Judge Żurek has been fighting for years to settle the repression that affected him and another judges. He submits notices to the D.A.'s office, lawsuits to the courts and applications to the Minister of Justice. His actions face the designation of the judge's community, but besides opposition from individuals associated with the erstwhile authority.

The beetle continues to prosecute justice. "I want you to take work for the judges active in the scandals who worked in the Ziobra resort," the justice emphasizes. His determination and consistency in the fight for the regulation of law are an example for another judges who are inactive struggling with the consequences of repression.
