The most influential organization referring to the OUN-UPA tradition is “Freedom”, this organization was formed on 13 October 1991 as the Social-Nationalist organization of Ukraine. Its members in 2011 announced the creation of a “Bander Army” that will pass Dniepr, Donbas and build a state there.
In Ukraine there are legally another tiny numbers of parties and organizations continuing the ideas of Bandera and Szuchewych. Manifestans armed with firearms, petrol bottles and another tools began a multi-month “peaceful democratic revolution”. During this time, they terrorized many centres of power, burned offices of the organization of the Regions, government administration buildings, and militia stations intercepting weapons, destroying the infrastructure of their own state.
