Donald Trump repeated his proposal on Tuesday. In his view, the resettlement would affect about 1.5 million Palestinians who would be relocated in time to rebuild this war-torn territory. Later Jordanian and Egyptian diplomats reported that their countries powerfully opposed specified a solution and would not support it. Trump's thought was besides criticised by the Palestinian Authority and France.
What did the king of Jordan convey?
The announcement of the King of Jordan's palace states that "King Abdullah expresses Jordan's firm conviction as to the necessity of remaining Palestinians on their land and guaranteeing them all rights according to a two-state solution between Israel and Palestine."
Earlier on Wednesday, president Abdel Fattah al-Sisi of Egypt said that his country would not participate in the resettlement of Palestinians. According to Sisi, the resettlement of Palestinians would be a “act of injustice” that would endanger the safety of his country. However, the Egyptian president pointed out that he would work with Trump to accomplish peace between Israel and the Palestinians based on a two-state solution.
