Jolanta Kwasniewska was born in Gdansk on 3 June 1955. In 1979 she graduated from the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Gdańsk, and besides became married to future president Alexander Kwasniewski. From 1995 to 2005, she served as the First woman of the Republic.
