In order for our generations to not gotta fight heroicly, we request to have the strength to defend freedom – argued Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at the solemn Cape of independency held in Warsaw on Monday. The tribute to the heroes of the struggles for freedom of homeland traditionally begins the celebration of the National independency Day.

– After 123 years of deficiency of presence on the maps of Europe, after trying to erase us from memory, after 123 years of suffering, pain, hardship, struggle, martyrdom, work and prayer, the generation of freedom has yet arrived. The 4 generations did not last, the 5th generation in 1918 saw this freedom. We are the children of freedom," said Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamish during the Capspunk of Independence, which traditionally takes place on the eve of the National independency Day. Representatives of the state authorities and the Polish Army met at the monument of Józef Piłsudski to pay tribute to the heroes of the struggles to regain freedom. “We are here today, on this November evening, to thank them for the fact that we can live in free Poland, that in tireless effort they have led to Poland regaining and reviving, that it exploded into freedom,” added the head of the Ministry of National Defence.

– I'd like next day to be the most joyful. I invitation you to do this. I think that's what the independency Fathers would like: that we should enjoy this independence, that we should experience it," Kosiniak-Kamish said.

The central celebrations of the National independency Day will begin next day with a mass in intention of the homeland in the Temple of Divine Providence in Warsaw. At noon there will be a solemn briefing before the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier with the participation of president Karol Nawrocki. During the ceremony there will be a ceremony of awarding general nominations.

– In order for our generations, our children and grandchildren not to gotta face specified hard dilemmas and choices or to fight heroicly, we must have the strength to defend freedom," said Kosiniak-Kamish. – Many may wonder, in view of the many social and wellness needs, why we spend more and more resources on the Armed Forces of the Republic all year, to strengthen our alliances, to modernise and transform the Polish army. Here comes the celebrated saying that whoever does not want to feed his own army will sooner or later feed strangers. We want to give the best capabilities to our army,” said the head of the MON.

At the end of the cap, Deputy Prime Minister Kosiniak-Kamish laid the wreaths under the capital monuments of the independency Fathers.
