On the night of Tuesday on Wednesday (19/20 August) close Osina in the territory of Łukaszów in Lublin there was a strong explosion. According to the Lukov Police Department, just before 2:00 p.m., the on-call officer was notified of an detonation on 1 of the corn fields.
From Osina in a consecutive line to the border with Ukraine it is 120 km and to the border with Belarus about 100 km and little than 100 km to Warsaw.

According to unofficial information from local portal lukov.tv, a crater was created in the field, and a propellerlike component was found among the remains.

"With respect to information on uncovering the remains of the object in the territory of Łukaszów, we inform that after conducting preliminary analyses of records of radiolocation systems, no violations of the Polish airspace were recorded from Ukraine or Belarus" – we read.
It was reported that, according to preliminary assessments, the found object "could form part of an old engine with a propeller", which was transferred to the Air Operations Centre – Air Component Command.
"At the site of the incident, appropriate services work, including soldiers of the Military Gendarmerie, who conduct detailed analysis of the facility. Aviation and Ground Search and Rescue Teams were activated to check the area of the event" – they were transmitted.
The command stressed that the air defence strategy of the Republic of Poland conducts 24-hour surveillance of airspace and remains on standby.
Formerly as an art artist Marcin Józwik of the arch police in a conversation with TVN24 reported that in the corn field officers found burnt elements of various sizes, scattered within a radius of respective twelve meters. – These are burnt metallic and plastic remains," he added.
The officer besides reported that windows in 3 close houses were broken as a consequence of the explosion. But no 1 was injured.
