The president of Croatia referred to the long-term detention to which Dinam Zagreb fans were subjected.

The treatment of Croatian supporters by the Greek authorities has nothing to do with the law, democracy or respect for human rights. He treats them like prisoners of war.

President Milanović pointed out that specified conduct by the Greeks shows a false alleged European solidarity.

They put them in prisons scattered all over Greece to be beaten and raped there – that is the European Union. You cannot keep people in temporary custody for 5 days; if this is what the EU looks like today, it is better that it is not at all.

Solidarity with trapped ultras from the fan group Bad Blue Boys (BBB) were expressed among others by fans of Dynamo Kiev.

Croatian fans have given up utilizing equipment, as they wrote on their channel on the Telegram:

The ease with which the Croatian media accept the fact that our members are held liable for the tragedy that has happened, and there is no evidence. Nor can they be as shortly as time shows. Only the alleged "investigation" of the discredited Greek police remains, whose sole intent is to later steer the script by which the shameful motion of utilizing a knife in the fans' conflict will be sewn to the Croats in order to satisfy bloodthirsty public opinion, media and politics. At the same time, 7 of our brothers in Athens suffered knife injuries. 3 were injured from fired signal rockets, and 1 associate of our group received as many as 7 (7!) stab wounds.
