Jerzy Andrzejewski detained

Jerzy Andrzejewski, was detained yesterday by police. He will gotta service 3 months in prison for Facebook entries concerning Ukraine and Ukrainians. So far, people have been punished with another ways of e.g. classified censorship (e.g. Think Poland) or financially (e.g. Henryk Miketyn). Now we've moved on to the next stage.

Article 54 of the Constitution of the Republic of Poland states: “Everyone is granted the freedom to express his views and to get and disseminate information. The preventive censure of the social media and the licensing of the press are prohibited." People have the right to their views, even if these views are in contrast to those presented by Mr Morawiecki, Mr Kaczyński, Mr Biedronia and Mr Tusk. People have the right to their views, even if they are mistaken or widely regarded as scandalous. This is what pluralism and democracy are all about. After all, this was mentioned by erstwhile oppositionists, who became censors and murderers in the 3rd Republic of Poland much more effective than those from Mouse Street.

We all remember what vulgar and hateful slogans were carried on various tolerant and democratic marches and steps. We all remember what entries and comments in the public media about Russia and the Russians have appeared over the past year. It is different how hard it is in Poland to specify antipolonism or rusophobia, while at the same time easy Ukrainianphobia, anti-Semitism or homophobia.
