Yuri Uszakov, Putin's advisor, claims that “the talks were honest” and “significant”. He noted that Putin was demanding the Ukrainian troops be withdrawn from Donbass. This is expected to be a "one issue" that supposedly separates Ukraine from peace. Putin called possible peace over the Dnieprem "a long-term settlement".
