On Sunday, Hungary will decide its future. The war in Ukraine and the circumstances surrounding it have made the Hungarian elections of large importance to Europe, including my country.
We are Poles and we should consider all political event in the planet through the prism of the interest of our nation. It is in our interest to win the sovereign Fidesz Prime Minister Viktor Orban over the cosmopolitan TISH Peter Magyar and as the best of our Friends from Mi Hazánk.
Many point out that Prime Minister Viktor Orban "is not ours after all". That is, of course, actual in many dimensions. Firstly, he is Hungarian, not Polish. Second, it comes from an environment that is politically alien to us. Thirdly, he is an uncritical supporter not only of the president of the United States Trump, but besides of 1 of the most grim figures of the current political scene of the world, the Prime Minister of Israel Netanyahu.
It's all true. But what does it substance present about Poland?
First of all – Viktor Orban had long gone off the leash of the still-living Georg Soros and became a thorn in his ass. We know and cooperate with Mi Hazánka as an environment of “Polish Thought” for many years, and I am firmly convinced that they should have the top influence on what is happening in Hungary.
I don't know what Sunday will be like. I won't bet. I fishy the results of the 2 main parties will be very similar. Experts in the Hungarian political scene and their voting strategy supply contradictory information. However, I am firmly convinced that erstwhile Fidesz wins and the good consequence is given to Mi Hazánk, the probruxel and Philoukrian opposition will effort to madaneize Hungary like Ukraine.
